Souther Field Aviation, Inc was incorporated in 1976 at Souther Field Airport (ACJ) in Americus, Georgia. We lease the airport grounds from the Americus & Sumter County Airport Authority and operate a full service FBO offering Phillips fuels and Shell & Exxon products. As part of the lease, we act as airport manager on behalf of the Authority. We operate the State office for the GAAA ( Georgia Agricultural Aviation Association). We offer Crop Dusting, Primary Pilot Training, Minor and Major Airframe Repairs, Inspections and Engine Services from Continental 65 to PT6A-67 and Garrett-1 thru -10. We have become one of the most recognized Thrush Service Centers in the world and our staff of highly trained and knowledgeable technicians frequently travel the world offering our services. Most of our technicians hold a pilots certificate and can fly to remote strips for repairs when ferrying is not practical.
We have become specialists in packing and shipping aircraft all over the world and average Exporting over 35 aircraft annually. Having (3) IA's and an FAA Designated Maintenance Representative on full time staff makes exporting from SFA as simple as can be.
